GRANATO TRANSFERS TO LANSING LUGNUTS

RICHMOND, Va. – At the start of the week former Virginia Commonwealth third baseman Anthony Granato was playing the infield for the Low-A Boise Hawks.  On Wednesday, July 21, Granato was transferred to the High-A Lansing Lugnuts (Mid-West League).

Granato was a top starter and leadoff hitter for Boise, before the transfer.  With the Hawks, the infielder recorded 26 runs and 27 hits, including three homeruns in 29 games.  The rookie left with a .268 batting average.
