As the Virginia Commonwealth men’s basketball program entered a new century and began a new era with the opening of the ALLTEL Pavilion at the Stuart C. Siegel Center, it was determined that it was time to look back and reflect on who the greatest players were to ever play for the Rams.
Despite the brief history of the program, the process of selecting the candidates for the Rams’ all-time team was a difficult one, given the tremendous success that Virginia Commonwealth has experienced. It was left up to the fans of Rams’ basketball to choose which of the dozens of talented players that have worn the black and gold would make the final cut. The votes were cast online on the athletic department’s website during the opening weeks of the 1999 basketball season. Listed to the left, in alphabetical order, are the 10 players chosen by the voters.
