Was one of four members, and the only basketball player, inducted into the inaugural Virginia Commonwealth Athletic Hall of Fame (1989)... Led the Rams in scoring his junior and senior seasons after finishing second on the team as a sophomore... Helped Virginia Commonwealth post a 24-5 record in 1977-78, leading the Rams’ to their first postseason appearance in the National Invitation Tournament... Posted the third-highest field goal total in Virginia Commonwealth history with 682 career baskets... Ranks second in school history in steals per game with a 2.13 average ... Still holds the record for most steals by a junior (55)... Helped the Rams accumulate a 70-35 (.667 percent) record in his four seasons... Recorded two games with 30 or more points including a career-high 34 at Buffalo on February 18, 1976... A third round draft pick of the San Antonio Spurs, Henderson played for the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers and the Detroit Pistons... Won four National Basketball Association championship rings – twice with both Boston and Detroit.
