LECLOEREC SWEEPS CAA AWARDS, OLSAK ALSO CITED

RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University junior Arnaud Lecloerec (Plouhinec, France) and the Rams’ doubles team of Lecloerec and sophomore Petr Olsak (Novy Jicin, Czech Republic) (pictured) earned men’s tennis honors from the CAA for their performances last week.

Lecloerec garnered CAA Player of the Week honors for the second time after posting victories at number one singles over No. 52 Arvid Puranen of Virginia Tech, 7-5, 7-6 and Colin O’Brien of William & Mary, 6-4, 6-4. The junior, who is ranked #16 in the nation, improved to 23-8 on the season and his 70 career wins are the 10th-most in school history.

Lecloerec and Olsak were named the CAA Doubles Team of the Week after topping Virginia Tech’s number one team of Brent Wilkins/Christian Guevara 8-4 and downing William & Mary’s top duo of Alex Cojanu and Billy Mulligan, 9-8 (7-4).
