TIMES ARE SET FOR CAA TOURNAMENT AT VCU'S SPORTS BACKERS STADIUM

RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia Commonwealth University won the Colonial Athletic Association title for the second consecutive year and will host the CAA Tournament for the second straight season at VCU's Sports Backers Stadium.

The quarterfinal matches will be played on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Sixth-seeded William & Mary will travel to No. 3 Delaware, and fourth-seeded James Madison will play host to No. 5 Old Dominion. Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m.

The semifinals will be played at VCU's Sports Backers Stadium on Friday, Nov. 4. The top-seeded Rams will meet the JMU/ODU winner at 5:30 p.m. Second-seeded Hofstra will face the UD/W&M winner at 8:00 p.m.

The championship match will be played on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2:00 p.m., with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Admission will be $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for youth (17 and under) and students with a college ID.

RICHMOND, Va. - Top-seeded Virginia Commonwealth University will face fourth-seeded James Madison in the semifinals of the 2005 CAA Tournament at 5:30 p.m. Friday evening at VCU's Sports Backers Stadium.

The Dukes topped fifth-seeded Old Dominion 5-0 Tuesday evening in the quarterfinals. In the second quarterfinal contest, third-seeded Delaware tied sixth-seeded William & Mary 1-1, but advanced to the semifinals on penalty kicks 4-3. The Blue Hens will meet second-seeded Hofstra at 8:00 p.m. Friday in the second semifinal contest at VCU's Sports Backers Stadium.

The Rams have a 12-game unbeaten streak this season. VCU is tied with defending national champion Notre Dame for the longest current home unbeaten streak at 24. It is the 11th-longest home unbeaten streak in Division I women's soccer history.
